Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay to participate?

Absolutely not! The project is completely free for everyone.

Can you describe the project in one sentence?

The project aims to deconstruct the influence of the (male) societal gaze on self-representation. This will be achieved by asking participants to take and submit a picture in which they genuinely represent themselves as free of any societal pressure. All the pictures will then be collected into an e-book.

When is the deadline to sign up?

The official deadline is April 15th. However, we encourage you to contact us if you want to sign up after the deadline so that we can figure something out.

When is the deadline to submit a picture?

Official submission deadline is May 5th. We can accept late submissions in special cases, so contact us for more information.

Do pictures have to be a specific format?

You will receive more information about this via email after the sign-up deadline. In general, creativity is always welcome!

Do you need to be a student to participate?

No! The project is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, location or background.

Can I submit multiple pictures?

Of course! The only thing we ask is that all pictures have a common story or theme behind them or are connected in any way.

Do I have to participate in the workshop?

Participation is completely voluntary. You can participate in person, online or not at all.
